Exploring the Labyrinth as a Spiritual Path

This event is an opportunity to walk a labyrinth, discover its history and explore its many uses in faith and community settings today.

A labyrinth is not a maze. With no dead ends, its single path to the centre invites us to explore – a pilgrim path, a path of prayer or contemplation, a path that draws us into the present moment. These ancient patterns are found today around the world, in many contexts – from hospice to church, from school to village green. How might we engage with the labyrinth ourselves, individually or in our own work and community settings?

This day offers a peaceful labyrinth walk and time to reflect on the experience. We will learn about the history and contemporary use of labyrinths, and explore how we might use the labyrinth ourselves in our own organisations and communities – including ideas about low cost, accessible resources.

‘Solvitur ambulando’ – It is solved by walking (St Augustine)
