‘Watching and Waiting’.

Judy writes

’The theme of this CARM retreat will be ‘Watching and Waiting

There will be short addresses based on characters in the Bible, from Abraham to the foolish bridesmaids, who watch and wait.  These stories and poems by R S Thomas and others will lead onto space in which to reflect, ponder, explore and maybe write a little.’

The Royal Foundation of St Katharine  is an oasis in which to take time out from daily life for reflection, contemplation, prayer or just to be. Our beautiful, historic Chapel is a place of daily prayer and with our long history of hospitality we look forward to welcoming you.

Located just  few minutes walk from the river Thames in the East of London and  moments from Limehouse DLR station. This is a  wonderful chance to step out of the city but not to leave it.

Kindly note that there is an option to apply for a bursary.

Judy Dinnen

Judy is both poet and retired priest in Herefordshire. Years ago, she and her husband lived and studied in London. She loves to play with words and encourage others to do so too. We will share poems that relate to our theme and wait and watch with you in the space that this lovely house offers.

Roger Clifton

After starting life as a chartered accountant, Roger spent thirty five years in Anglican parish ministry. His final post was as team rector of a market town and its surrounding villages in Wiltshire, before he retired to Bath in 2010. He has been involved with CARM since its earliest days, and his interests include painting, cycling and mountain walking.
