Mariner evening event with Malcolm Guite

Mariner: A Voyage with Samuel Taylor Coleridge

A dramatic reading and some spiritual reflections

Drawing on his new book Mariner: A voyage with Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Poet-Priest Malcolm Guite will recite Coleridge’s great poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner from the compass rose in the Chapel at The Royal Foundation of St Katharine. He’ll then give an insight of how Coleridge’s tale of a journey from beyond the known and then into the heights and depths of the human soul can become part of our own story, and a tale for our own time.
