The Royal Foundation of St Katharine
It is with great sadness following government guidelines about restricting social interaction and the use of public transport we have taken the difficult decision to suspend normal activity at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine for a temporary period.
As such we need to advise you that this event is currently paused.
Please also know that we are working to reschedule our Reflective and Quiet days so do please keep in touch with our news via our website and our newsletters.
In the meantime the Royal Foundation of St Katharine is supporting the local community through providing an essentials shop and takeaway at our Yurt cafe. We are also an operations centre for the Limehouse and Shadwell Mutual Aid network of over 230 volunteers ready to help charities and local residents needing extra support. While all our accommodation and events are suspended we are talking to agencies about the possibilities of using the accommodation and conference rooms to help front line workers.
Our residential prayer team continues to pray each day for our world and local community.
We are sure you will be pleased to know that the Royal Foundation of St Katharine is looking to give assurance and keep its wonderful staff team which it is planning to do with the support of the governments offer of furlough, so that we are ready to welcome our guests again immediately we are able.
However we are very aware of the enormous challenges of this time for everyone. So as we continue to pray do please feel able to send us your own prayer requests via email@example.com
With our thanks, kindest wishes and hope that we can welcome you again soon.
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy
in this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
and lift up all who are brought low;
that we may rejoice in your comfort
knowing that nothing can separate us from your love
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are delighted to continue opening our doors in 2020 so individuals can access our urban oasis for an individual quiet day.
Most people choose to begin their day by joining the welcome meditation at 10.30am
We do not intend to have these as led events but rather as opportunities for people to have some space and quiet in their lives.
Whilst we cannot offer exclusive personal use of any room, there will always be space and a quiet corner for all our guests. The Open Reflective days usually run from 8am until 5pm but you are welcome to come and join us for as much of the day as your commitments allow.
During the day you are welcome to join our optional services held in our Chapel. Depending on availability we often can offer an opportunity to book a slot to meet with a trained listener, during your day. Kindly note these slots can only be booked on arrival.
The cost of the full day is £25 ~ this includes morning coffee and pastries, a sandwich lunch and afternoon pot of tea and cake.
Option to StaySunday
We are delighted to be able to offer a chance to stay over on the Sunday through to the Open Reflective Day on the Monday.
StaySunday enables you to extend your Open Reflective Day by arriving after lunch on Sunday and staying in one of our lovely new Chapelside en suite single bedrooms B&B.
Please note that on the Sunday there will be no led sessions but you are welcome to use our Chapel, gardens, lounge and library for your personal reflections. While no is food included in the cost for the Sunday, you are most welcome to preorder one of our St Katharines platters , or visit our Yurt cafe.
Stay Sunday includes :- B&B on Sunday night in addition to the Open Reflective Day on Monday.
Kindly note that places are limited so please do book early to avoid disappointment.
